Incidentally, here's what needs to happen for people to win books:
FHL: Florida needs to win Stephanie: You've already won Kerry: The universe needs to explode, or something Corfield: Florida needs to win Dewd: Out of the running Amy: Notre Dame needs to win
In other words, if I get my next two picks right, then I only have to give away one book (to Stephanie). If I get both my next picks wrong, then I'll have to give out four books. I've got my fingers crossed.
How very uncharitable of you to celebrate the sad end of my winning streak. Sour grapes, hmm? Don't feel bad, Rob. When you become as brilliant of a football expert as I am, you'll be able to predict games with the same degree of accuracy. Yep, I can always tell how many baskets those football players are going to shoot.
Well, gee, I'd hate for the universe to explode (or something) just so I could win another copy of a book I already have two or three copies of. (I have personal copies, lending copies, and waiting-to-be-given-as-gift copies of all my favorite books. Doesn't everyone?)To show what a good loser I am (I have lots of practice) Rob, I'll even go halfsies with you. If you lose to the tune of four books -- and if you can somehow convince two of your winners to forego the grand prize for a booby prize -- I'll send them a copy of Ghost of a Chance in lieu of a second copy of one of your masterpieces. Nobody has Ghost yet. Including me, come to think of it. . .

Standings:
Rob: 5-3
FHL: 5-3
Stephanie: 7-1
Kerry: 3-5
Corfield: 6-2
Dewd is 3-5
Amy 5-3
Stephanie gets her first loss! Hooray! However, she has clenched a playoff berth--even if she loses the next two games, she'll get a book.

Hey Kerry, I'd be more than willing to make such a deal. Heck, it makes me wish I could win!
