Bowl Contest Countdown Day Five
Stephanie continues her winning streak. Rob does not. It looks like he'll be giving away a couple of books.
But, holy cow, what a game... Can you say "playoff"?

Hey Rob, you should see the Idaho Statesman today! The front page is just a huge picture Ian Johnson and the whole sports section is about the game! (This is Idaho, there isn't anything else to talk about.)
The game was amazing! I actually watch it and I know think football totally rocks! Now, I have to go and find something for my throat! I was screaming so much last night I don't think I'll be able to talk for a week!
The Boise State Broncos were amazing last night. I would have to say that was one of the best football games I've ever seen. =)YAY for Idaho. (Not that I'm partial or anything. I've only lived in Idaho most of my life.)
That was an AWESOME game. That last play that sent it into overtime was amazing. Then the conversion to win. Wow. I wonder who got the game ball when that guy threw it in the stands?
My husband said, "that's it. It's over." and turned off the TV. Then Boise went ahead and won. I can't believe I actually watched a football game--well, most of it. I guess you can take a girl out of Idaho, but Idaho stays in her heart forever.
Do you think that win says something about football's snobbish bowl games? The two times teams from the non-elite clique controlling the Fiesta bowl allowed non-clique teams in, the interlopers won.
You know, even if Boise had lost, that game would have to go down as one of the best football games I've ever seen. Both teams were playing really well, both had their hearts in it, and neither ever gave up.
And the good news, Jennie, is that this has generated some talk about the crappy BCS. Sports Illustrated's website this morning had an article on their front page addressing exactly that.
Now all we need is for Florida to win, leaving Boise as the only undefeated team. It's a long shot, but it'd sure be sweet.
