Kerry's Trip to The Land of Enchantment

by Rob Wells

Late last night I got an email from Hilary, Kerry's daughter, informing me that Kerry had gone off to New Mexico and hadn't remembered to take her laptop and was therefore unable to blog today.

Fortunately for all involved, I managed to get hold of Kerry's vacation photos, which I will post here in lieu of her blog.

Welcome to the Land of Enchantment!

Here's Kerry visiting the New Mexico Mining Museum. It will blow your mine!

Kerry showing off her mad weaving skillz!

Kerry helping this guy roast green chile!

Inspecting the remains of the crashed UFO in Roswell!

Throwing bread off the roof of the Acoma pueblo!

Let's hope Kerry is back next week!

Let's hope that the remains of that crashed UFO inspire Kerry to write another mystery, or at least a suspenseful thriller! Maybe people from another world did come to ours, but landed in Arizona, where they were greeted by Kool-Aid bearing sisters and welcomed into the ward, where they now live even to-day, blending in reasonably well. Then the bad guys tried to follow, and ended up crashing in Roswell. Now people from the other world are trying to find their lost brethren here on ours. They even have a prophecy to guide them. "And they shall be a peculiar people in the communities where they worship ..." but when every ward in Arizona (and all over the church for that matter) has at least one person who does weird things, it's going to be hard for Spaceman Ammon and his companions to find their lost brethren before our government finds them. And Spaceman Ammon failed to get permission to land, the title of the book could be "Illegal Aliens."

Actually, this sounds more like a book for Rob Wells to write.

I wish I could edit my above comment to read "And since Spaceman Ammon failed to get permission to land ... "

Grr, I hate typos. But hope you're having a nice time anyway, Kerry!

Rob: Next time, I think she's going to try harder to remember someone elses email. I'm sure she'll thank you when she gets back...

She should have stopped by my parent's house. I know Mom would have fed her and let her take a rest from her busy schedule.

Nice work on the black-and-white photo, Rob. =)

I almost expected to see you put her in place of Tourist Guy.

Come back soon, Kerry. It's hard to kerry-on. =(

Melanie, Kerry did write something very similar to that as a sub-plot line in her book "Closing In". I believe Kool-Aid and cookies were the refreshments of choice to welcome the "Brethren" when they landed ... at Halloween. What is it with Kerry Blair and Halloween anyway?

Loved the pics, especially since I'm from New Mexico and I've been to all those places, um, except the UFO hanger. I look terrible in black and white.

My! Kerry, How you do get around! I'm impressed by how well your wardrobe is holding up too. I'm sure I would have needed to change my shirt at least three times to stay looking so fresh and tidy.

There's a sister in our ward who actually believes that UFOs are from the City of Enoch. Worse is that she teaches it to the youth as doctrine.

Beautiful shots of NM. I'm sure she's enjoying herself.
