A sigh of relief...

“I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong”
-Benjamin Franklin

For those of you who have been unable to reach me the last few days (or weeks) it's because I've been shunning all interpersonal communication, literally(!) shutting myself in the walk-in closet to study.

Study for what, you ask? The GMAT. Remember a couple weeks ago when I said I was going back to school? Well, the GMAT is the first big step.

And the good, awesome, divine news: 730, baby!

I'm so incredibly relieved to have that thing over with.

Yeah, it's really much better than I could have hoped.

I'm currently only applying to BYU, but I've sent the scores to UCLA and USC (both in the top 20), so we'll see what happens.

Sorry I deleted the last comment. I made a typo.

Rob,

As an HR professional (albeit an evil one), I feel compelled to help you choose your school. Each school will open some doors for you and close others. Make sure the school you pick is opening the doors you want opened.

(And you basically get to pick if your score was in the 97th percentile. Of course, if your undergrad GPA was 1.2 or something, you don't get to pick.)

Congrats on the great score.

That's FANTABULOUS, Rob! I knew you could do it! (Rather, I might have known if I'd only figured out earlier that THAT'S what you were doing in the closet.) Way to go, kid. We're proud of you!

The EvilHRLady is right. Figure out where you want to end up career-wise before you decide on a school.

But no matter the school, awesome job.

Though I must chastise you--my teenager has been staying up waaay too late reading your books. She's ready for the next one. hint hint
